Sold and souled-out

The final piece which, happily,sold....even better, to an owner who started crying when she saw it. What greater complement could there possibly be for an artist! I wanted to personalize it a little for her, so painted ten teeny little hearts in between the flowers, to represent each member of her family as well as bees.....for her own interpretation!

The top painting is proving to be somewhat of a challenge....a monster. this is the top right hand corner which is slowly getting layers of detail. This is a very messy but emotively expressive piece which I did when.........well, let me put it this way, .......I was a single step away from imploding or exploding. It didn't work too well. I ended up making a bonfire of most of my journals. Strangely, I then felt purged.

Happily, meditation, introspection and distancing myself from things that do not add anything positive to my day, has put a lid on the bubble. I'm hoping for a strong lid and an even greater resolve.
